The EvESimulator, or short EvESim, is a simulation framework designed for Digital Ecosystem (DE) platforms. The term simulation is often used interchangeably with emulation or even testing, because EvESim is capable to run on a DE and in parallel simulate a DE.
Digital Ecosystems present a new field of robust, self-organizing and scalable architectures inspired by ecological networks. Nevertheless, EvESim can be used to simulate, emulate and test all types of distributed networks, e.g. webservice infrastructures, P2P networks or hybride forms.
Besides that, EvESim constitutes a collaborative platform for interdisciplinary research acting as a framework for understanding, visualising and presenting the social network concepts to contributors.
Here a short overview on EvESim including main stakeholders and application areas.
